“The house is superb and it feels so spotless and clean on arrival. Its in a lovely quiet location. Its so very welcoming and certainly lives up to its write up. Scones and bubbly on arrival
The living room is so spacious and the kitchen area is great for cooking and eating. It has all the amenities that you would expect from this type of rental. Good size fridge which I find so disappointing in so many homes.
The bedrooms are all of a very good size and bathrooms are so clean and modern. The master suite is stunning. Beds are very comfy and towels so fluffy.
I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this property. We certainly will be back and would always recommend it.

“We have just returned from a fabulous week’s family holiday at Apple Mill (seven adults). The cottage was fantastic, a real home from home, spotless, light and spacious, very comfy and will equipped with all mod cons, a wood burner and lots of original features too. We especially enjoyed listening to the birds whilst in the hot tub! The cottage has a lovely garden and barbecue area and is in a superb tranquil location with stunning countryside, beautiful villages and the Jurassic coast all nearby. Sarah and Richard were super welcoming hosts with a cream tea and bubbly on arrival and a font of local knowledge. We can’t wait to return and recommend Apple Mill unreservedly.“

“I am writing to tell you that my family, consisting of three generations, enjoyed a week at Apple Mill. The house was exceedingly comfortable, beautiful bed linen and a very well equipped kitchen. The owners had gone to a lot of trouble in these very difficult times to make our stay a real family holiday. The location was so peaceful and yet easy to enjoy days out. I would recommend this property unreservedly.“

“Currently staying at Apple Mill and it’s just beautiful! Such a stunning property. The welcome hamper was amazing and they had even put a Christmas tree up for us. There is everything you need for luxury stay in Devon.“
“We have just come back from a stay at Pebblebed Cottage. We rented both Apple Mill and Burrows, both barns are on the same farm in Venn Ottery, East Devon and conveniently located in the countryside and close to the coast. We enjoyed stargazing in the hot tubs and cozy afternoons by the wood burners – both a real treat. Amazing luxury bedding and spacious rooms. Not a detail is forgotten. Thank you very much Sarah!“
“We took all of the rooms at Pebblebed Cottages as we were part of a wedding party. It’s a lovely quiet location although not far from the sea and surrounding towns. The accommodation was superb. Privacy if you want it, though the two cottages are side by side, so socialising was very easy. All of the facilities you would expect, plus a woodburner and even a hot tub. Sarah who looks after things is on hand if you need anything, although not at all intrusive. Very friendly and super efficient.“
“Apple Mill is a stunning and practical home from home. We’ve been here for 5 nights with 4 adults and 4 kids. The house has been perfect. Comfy beds, thick walls, great layout for 2 families, hot tub is the dream! The location is incredible, so much to do locally and the countryside is beautiful. Sarah has been a fabulous host. We’ll definitely be back.“

“From the moment we opened the door and saw our wonderful welcome hamper we knew we had made the right choice for our holiday accommodation.
The Burrows was spotlessly clean and spacious but still had a lovely homely feel. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. A cot and highchair had been provided as requested and there was a fireguard for the winter months as well as various board games and DVDs if needed.
The information pack provided everything you could wish to know about the local area and recommendations for pubs and restaurants if required.
The Hot Tub and bbq were a real treat and added to our enjoyment of the lovely secluded garden.
The ability to be able to use Woodbury Park Golf Club was a real bonus and we used the pool and gym several times during our stay.
We had glorious weather and enjoyed days out at Seaton, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis in addition to visits to the Donkey Sanctuary and Crealy Park, both of which we’d highly recommended.
We’d definitely love to stay again as we still had lots to explore!”
“A little piece of countryside paradise! We return to Burrows year after year and we are never disappointed. Burrows is set in the most beautifully peaceful location. It is luxury accommodation with extremely attentive hosts – Sarah and Richard are always on hand to make your stay as comfortable as possible, they really care about their guests. Every little detail has been thought of to make your stay a special one. On arrival there are always beautiful fresh flowers, a delicious hamper of fresh local produce and a gorgeous bottle of wine or bubbly! There are wonderful walks right from your doorstep and it is easy to get to the wonderful beaches that surround this stunning area. Great places to eat and fantastic farm shops nearby. We simply love Burrows and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It is simply glorious!”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay in Burrows. Beautiful cottage, very well equipped and everything finished to a high standard. Would recommend this lovely property in its idyllic setting to both young and old. I stayed with my elderly parents, we had a super holiday with relaxing times in the cottage and garden and jaunts out to the numerous local attractions, very well situated.

“A fantastic Christmas holiday away with our friends. Sarah and Richard were fantastic hosts and the property itself was exactly what we all needed to rest and relax through the holidays. Shops close by for urgent supplies and the coast is only a 20 minute drive. The swim on Christmas day was refreshing as anything! We’ll be back!”

“Loved our New Year stay at The Burrows, one jewel perfect half of the Pebblebed Cottages. Suited our family group – 4 adults and 2 kids -down to the ground. Sarah provides an amazing welcome hamper, complete with fresh Devonshire scones. Crisp linens, an amazingly well equipped kitchen and a cozy fire completes the picture. Fantastic spot to explore this part of Devon from. Full marks.“
“Just last week a group of us stayed at The Burrows. The space was just as described and exceeded our expectations. The cottage was extremely clean, comfortable, spacious and in a beautiful private setting. Use of the hot tub was a luxury! It had everything we needed and more, with Richard and Sarah being excellent hosts.

“I arrived at The Burrows totally exhausted after months of stress in manic London. This beautiful barn was everything I wanted it to be: tranquil and serene, luxurious, well-equipped and with two lovely owners who really can’t do enough to make your stay a comfortable and enjoyable one.
You awake to calm birdsong, can enjoy a cup of coffee in the beautiful garden, (saying hello to the cows in the field opposite if you like!) and enjoy one of the many walks in surrounding countryside. Bikes are provided to borrow, so if you fancy a bit more socialising, Tipton St John is just a few minutes away, with a great pub and restaurant.
Evenings can be spent in the Hot Tub or around the log burner in the lounge, playing board games, reading or spending quality time with friends or loved ones.
Yes, of course I’ll be back. It’s a truly special and wonderful place.”
