Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage

Lockdown temporarily closed the cottages so we have had extra time with our dogs, as restrictions ease you can holiday with yours as Burrows is a Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage. Pictured in Daphne our Golden Retriever sat on the bank near the Cottages.

At the start of lockdown Dogs Trust expressed that the fear that “some dogs will find it overwhelming having more people around and less time to themselves”  equally as lockdown eases they will have to adjust to the change again.

Burrows is a Dog Friendly Cottage, bring your dog on your 2020 East Devon Staycation. We accept one well-behaved dog in our Cottage Burrows.

Our East Devon Holiday Cottages are a tick in all boxes for your 2020 Staycation, stay away, stay in your home from home. Enjoy long country or coastal dogs walks, kick back in the pretty walled garden with decked terrace and then set the steaks and halloumi to sizzle on the barbecue. Or add a bit of extra indulgence to your break and soak up the peace in the bubbling luxury hot tub (a little less dog-friendly) – perfect for unwinding or star-gazing at night.

Both of our Holiday Cottages are dog friendly and have wooden or stone floors in all communal areas. It’s an ideal base for families or friends at any time of the year, with a private driveway and parking for up to seven cars.

We can offer short and midweek breaks, with a minimum 3 night stay in the winter months.

DOES EACH COTTAGE HAVE ITS OWN DOG FRIENDLY OUTSIDE SPACE?

Yes, of course, all dog friendly cottages need a garden that keeps the dog in for your peace of mind. Burrows has its own secluded gardens with a hot tub, seating area and lawn.

 

THERE ARE TWO BIKES AVAILABLE WITH ONE OF THE COTTAGES. CAN WE CYCLE AND WALK STRAIGHT FROM THE COTTAGE?

Yes, it is possible to walk and cycle the mountain bikes from the cottages, the brave ones can head straight out the village towards Exeter, but there are flatter and more off-road options. If you bring a bike rack, you can check out the Exe Cycle Trail from Exmouth to Exeter and then up to Dawlish. There’s also a safe bike trail from Sidmouth to Exmouth.

 

IS THERE PRIVATE PARKING?

Yes, Burrows has parking for up to three cars. Apple Mill has parking for up to four cars. Cars are parked off the road.
